So hots right now: YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick.

Honestly I don't spend as much on make up as I do on clothes and shoes. I mean, I do have my Lancome Hypnose mascara, Giorgio Armani khol pencil and the occasional M.A.C lipgloss here and there. It's quite a generic mix of cosmetics and I only refill when I really need to. Anyways, I received a gift voucher for a local department store and for once, instead of splurging on a pair of YSL heels (like I really wanted to), I sidekicked and went straight into the beauty and cosmetics department and before I knew it, I was toting the latest Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte lipstick in brightest of all brights- a total change from my regular nude and smokey eyes look.

So if you ever see a girl wondering around the fashionable streets of Sydney wearing the brightest orange (red temptation) or fuschia (rose cutie) listick in the world with a new choppy designer fringe and the latest Balenciaga heels, don't throw rocks. It's just the new me that I'm loving right now.

Fur is fashion?

Judging from the amount of fur shawls, fur lining, fur headwear and fur trim which has erupted from the runway shows with labels like Hermes, Valentino, Anne Valerie Hash and Christian Dior all embracing the fashionable side of fur. Fur has been a PETA related fashion debate for quite some time now, and honestly, amongst all the avante garde creations which have been popping up here and there recently, it's nice to know that if there is anything I no longer have to purchase to add to my wardrobe, it would be a fur coat as my grandmother had left me one to inherit from her last trip to Paris. Overall, I'm just saying that it's nice to be able to find the quality of such items back in fashion; just as the little black dress is purely synonymous with class and taste; fur appears to epitomise the same level of luxury. And as for the satin Hugh Hefner inspired Dolce pyjama pants from last season...well, those can be left in the bedroom.

Sometimes I feel so blessed.. just about everything. About my work and what I'm able to do, my friends and acquintances, my family etc. And now I was made an amazing job offer which I can't tell you right now, but believe me this opportunity comes once in a lifetime, at least for a person as young as me, and I'm going to take it. That doesn't mean that I'm going to leave my job in Tallinna Kaubamaja's marketing department.. not at all! I just have to manage both of these tasks and well it's a fact that when you do a lot, you manage a lot!

I truly feel blessed. Probably I have done something good in my past life so that these opportunities just fall into my lap :)

Magazine Mood

 

As I mentioned in one of my posts earlier, I was asked to take part and to be published as a newcomer in Estonian Fashion field 2011. It was for the magazine Mood's January issue. Claire Chazal is a French journalist, romance writer, and director of news at a national television station, TF1.

She presents the news at 8pm in alternation with Laurence Ferrari; Julien Arnaud substitutes for her when she is absent. She also presents Je/nous de Claire a talk-show on the gay television channel Pink TV that she helped start in 2004. (The title of this show puns on Le Genou de Claire, a French film known in English as Claire's Knee.)Chazal obtained an HEC School of Management diploma.

These stockings are actually made by the oldest Estonian hosiery factory SUVA (http://www.suva.ee/). Their ethnic collection is really worth the money, love them.
