Watch out Kris! X Factor winner Matt Cardle admits he has a crush on 'gorgeous and incredible' mentor Dannii Minogue

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Promotional tour: Matt Cardle at a book signing for his autobiography Matt Cardle: My Story in Manchester today

She's the mentor who believed in him from the very beginning, and helped him win the final of The X Factor.

So it's no wonder Matt Cardle has more than a little respect for Dannii Minogue.

But now the 27-year-old singer has revealed he liked Dannii more than a friend, admitting he found it difficult to resist her 'incredible' blue eyes.

Admission: Matt revealed he has a crush on his X Factor mentor Dannii Minogue

Asked who he found more attractive, Cheryl Cole or Dannii, Matt replied: 'Dannii, definitely. I have a thing about blue eyes and Dannii has the most incredible eyes.

'She's wicked. She's clever, funny and gorgeous - the best mentor I could have had.'

And Matt is already thinking about the perfect Christmas present for Dannii, although he admits he is struggling to come up with ideas.

'She's gorgeous!' Matt and Dannii together at the X Factor final

He told Grazia magazine: 'Dannii is at the top of my presents list. I need to get her something special, but I have no idea what! What the hell do you give to Dannii Minogue?'

Since Matt won the X Factor earlier this month, there has been a lot of speculation about his personal life, especially when he was pictured flirting with former S Club Juniors singer Stacey McLean last weekend.

However, Matt, who was seen at a signing for his autobiography My Story in Manchester today, insists he is very much single.

Popular: Many girls had queued for hours in a bid to catch a glimpse of the singer
He said: 'What can I say, I love women. I'm a young bloke, I'm single and I'm no angel, but I don't see myself as a typical babe magnet.'

During his time on the ITV talent show, Matt was rumoured to have started dating show stylist Grace Woodward. But the singer refused to confirm or deny the reports.

He said: 'I'm too much of a gentleman to say anything - I don't kiss and tell. When I first met her, I was terrified.

'She was so confident and ballsy but we hit it off. The whole process is so stressful and Grace was a great support.'

Matt has already found huge success since beating Rebecca Ferguson to be crowned the winner of The X Factor, and achieved his first number one with his debut single When We Collide in the Christmas singles charts on Sunday.

And he says he is hoping the success will continue, adding: 'I want people to realise this is something I've spent all my life trying to make happen.

'I'm not going to put on a suit and say I'm a pop star. I'm going to write songs, I want to break America, I want to work the hardest I've ever worked.'

The full interview with Matt appears in Grazia magazine, out now

Ladies' man: Charmer Cardle parties with former S Club girl at his hotel - despite 'no women' pledge after winning X Factor

By JODY THOMPSON

Eyes down: X Factor winner Matt Cardle appears to be checking out Stacey McLean's rear view as they walk down a corridor near the suite at London's May Fair hotel where he currently lives

Just last week he pledged he was giving up women to concentrate fully on his new career - but former painter and decorator Matt Cardle celebrated landing his first solo Number One last night with a beautiful brunette.

The sex-mad single Essex lad, 27, had said he'd sworn off the ladies so he could knuckle down and capitalise on his X Factor win.

But after going straight into the singles charts at Number One last night with debut solo single When We Collide, he was spotted with former S Club Juniors' and 2009 X Factor wannabe Stacey McLean, 21, at his hotel.

The pair had met earlier - and flirted outrageously - at an S Club Juniors reunion party that evening.

Close: Matt smooths Stacey's hair, unaware he's been seen

They then decided to continue the party at the hotel's Palm Beach Casino next to the hotel, but had to brave the cold night air - and photographers - to get there.

Asked just last week about how girls would now throw themselves at him following his victory in the X Factor, he said: 'It is pretty shallow and I am wary of why they are like that. I am not thinking about sex.'

You bet: Matt gambles on continuing the good time by taking Stacey - and his bodyguard - to the Palm Beach Casino near the hotel

Despite being being linked with stylist Grace Woodward, dancer Sarah Robinson and make-up artist Lauren Clements during the series, Matt insisted: 'I am not going to let things get in the way. I'm really going to knuckle down.

'I want the songs right, the album right and my career right before I think of anything like that.'

When we collide? Stacey seemed very attracted to Matt as they chatted in the bar at the May Fair Hotel, just hours after he learned he'd landed his first solo Number One

'Look, you're No. 1'! Stacey appears to be showing Matt the singles chart on her phone

You're so funny!: The former S Club Juniors star made a big show at laughing at all of Matt's hilarious jokes

However, it seems his head was somewhat turned last night by former teenybopper Stacey, nickname CeCe.

She was in S Club Juniors, also known as S Club 8, along with Frankie Sandford and Rochelle Wiseman, now of The Saturdays. They group - an offshoot of S Club 7 - split in 2004 after just three years together.

Sunday night out: The Saturdays Rochelle Wiseman and Frankie Sandford both joined their former S Club Juniors bandmates for a reunion at the May Fair Hotel last night

One night only: All eight former members of S Club Juniors pose for the camera at London's Jewell bar earlier in the evening (L-R), including Hannah Richings, Stacey, Calvin Goldspink, Aaron Renfree, Daisy Evans, Frankie, Rochelle and Jay Asforis

However, Stacey has yet to match some of her former bandmates' successes, and though she auditioned for the X Factor last year, only got down to the last six.

She's about to star in G*MANIA, a Glee-inspired musical about to tour the UK.

All smiles: Matt shows no sign of his big night out as he gets ready to sign copies of his new book at Waterstones in London

Matt meanwhile is meeting his adoring public later today with the launch of his autobiography at Waterstones flagship London store on Piccadilly.

Matt Tweeted: 'Looking forward to the book signing :) waterstones in Piccadilly if anyone fancy's some light reading this morning, if anyone fancy's some light reading ! Xx love u aiden . . Xx'

He beat Rebecca Ferguson into second place and One Direction came third.

X Factor winner Matt Cardle is Christmas Number One with debut single When We Collide

By SARAH BULL

Success: Matt Cardle, seen out in London last night, has achieved the Christmas number one

X Factor winner Matt Cardle has clinched the Christmas Number One with his debut single When We Collide.

The 27-year-old singer's cover of Biffy Clyro's track sold 439,000 copies in six days, and beat stars including Rihanna to the coveted top spot.

After finding out he had achieved the Christmas number one, Matt said: 'I can't believe it. As if winning wasn't enough. I honestly didn't think I'd even make it on to the live shows, let alone win and now be the Christmas number one.

'I can't even begin to describe how if feels. It's nuts, crackers and crazy. To think that many people have supported me and bought the record is absolutely mind blowing.'

Popular: Matt's cover of Biffy Clyro's When We Collide sold 439,000 copies in six days

There have been various internet campaigns to stop Matt getting to number one, including a re-release of the original track from Biffy Clyro, called Many Of Horror.
However, the track only charted at number eight.

Other attempts came from The Trashmen, who reached number three with their novelty track Surfing Bird, and anti-X Factor project Cage Against The Machine.

Matt, who beat Rebecca Ferguson to be crowned the winner of The X Factor earlier this month, told fans on Twitter he was incredibly excited about finding out the chart results, tweeting: 'Off to capital radio. . ! So exited. . May be a little bit of wee. . :) xx'

Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot described Matt's sales figures as 'a truly impressive achievement'.

He said: 'Besides being a record for a non-charity single this year, it might even have been higher given the freezing conditions which have gripped the UK in the past couple of days and which have kept many consumers off the high streets.'

X Factor Matt and his 'bogus band of brothers'

By BARBARA DAVIES

Piling on the pathos: X Factor winner Matt Cardle's sob story about taking in bereaved boys has been dismissed as 'hokum'

As close followers of the X Factor will testify, a good voice is an advantage, but having a good tale to tell is essential.

And Matt Cardle’s story was a showstopper.

After an emotional rendition of the Roberta Flack hit The First Time (Ever I Saw Your Face), he told how his selfless mother Jennifer had cared for her best friend Sharon Floyd’s four sons after she was killed in a car crash.

'Brothers': Tom and Julian Floyd recorded a video message for an emotional Cardle (inset)

His story went down such a treat with the punters that hours before Sunday’s final, he told it all over again in a newspaper, declaring: ‘Overnight I gained four brothers.’

Sure enough, 27-year-old Cardle’s testimony helped him to victory and a £1million recording contract.

What a shame it’s almost entirely untrue.

At his home in prosperous Kingswood, Surrey, 62-year-old property developer David Floyd, father of Cardle’s so-called ‘brothers’ and the widower of Sharon, described the story pumped out by the X Factor publicity machine as ‘complete nonsense’.

His sons, he added, have never lived with Matt Cardle or his family, with whom, he adds, he and his wife were not even close friends.

‘It’s complete hokum,’ he said. ‘Being their father, it was me who raised my own sons after their mother died. It was a very difficult time. I also paid for all of them to go to boarding school and during the holidays they were with me.

As seen on TV: Cardle's parents also filmed an emotional video message. But their links to the Floyd family may have been wildly exaggerated

‘Sharon would have been astounded at the very idea of the Cardles adopting our children.'

They were nice enough people but the idea that Matt Cardle and my sons are somehow foster brothers is absolutely laughable. They were school friends. They occasionally went to their home for sleepovers.’

After his performance of The First Time, Cardle’s teary-eyed mentor Dannii Minogue gave him a standing ovation and declared in front of millions of live television viewers: ‘I wish everyone at home knew the story you told me about why you sang that. I know it’s really personal for your family.’

Cardle, who described himself as a painter and decorator, duly obliged, saying: ‘My mum took on those kids and they absolutely made our family bigger and better.’

In his subsequent newspaper interview, he added: ‘Words can’t really describe how we all felt after Sharon’s sad loss.

'Cheryl Cole won't make it in America - it's Nicole Scherzinger's town', claims former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Controversy: Sharon Osbourne says Cheryl Cole won't make it in America

She's no stranger to controversy and is always coming out with outlandish comments which cause a stir.

And now Sharon Osbourne has come forward to say that Cheryl Cole has no chance of making it in America when she goes over next year for the American version of The X Factor.

Former X Factor judge Sharon claims that while Cheryl is popular in the UK, her success will be eclipsed by that of Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, who is also tipped for the US panel.

New role: Cheryl has apparently been offered £3million for a role on the American version of The X Factor

She told Now magazine: 'Cheryl’s perfect for England - she’s the nation’s sweetheart and they absolutely love her.

'But over here it’s Nicole’s town. You have to think of the audience and most of them would never have heard of Girls Aloud.

'Nicole’s great TV, has a huge following here in the States and people absolutely love her. Plus she’s beautiful and talented.'

Success: Nicole Scherzinger is also tipped for the new US panel

Nicole is a favourite to join the panel of the American show after proving popular when she joined the judges during the audition stages of the programme earlier this year.

And while Sharon says she believes Cheryl is making the right decision to move to Los Angeles, she said she will find it difficult finding the same success Stateside.

She added: 'It takes a long time to make it in the States because it’s so huge. She couldn’t just come over here and do a show then pootle off.'

I want your X: George Michael to be a judge on U.S. X Factor in £1million deal?

By JODY THOMPSON

Hello £1 million?: George Michael, seen here outside his house in Highgate, north London, after being released from prison in October after serving four weeks for crashing his car while high on drugs

George Michael is the latest big name mooted to be a judge on the new American version of the X Factor.

The former Wham! star is said to have been offered a deal worth more than £1million after Simon Cowell was seen visiting his home in north London last month.

The 47-year-old pop icon apparently sees the job as career boost following his embarrassing jail term earlier this year for drug-driving.

Even if true, George's recent conviction for driving under the influence and drug possession may affect his ability to be awarded a US work permit.

Cheryl Cole, who's also said to be joining the Cowell as a judge on the show in a deal worth £3million, is also said to be having problems negotiating a work permit because of her conviction for assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) in 2003

Pop idol?: George, seen here onstage during a concert in Athens in 2007, is said to be joining the U.S. X Factor panel to rehabilitate his career

The debut series of US X Factor is scheduled to start next autumn - at the same time the show is due to return to UK screens.

Other names revealed lately as rumoured to be in the running to join Cowell on the panel have included former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher, and even more bizarrely, Mick Jagger.

Even Victoria Beckham was rumoured to be in the running at the start of the year and other wild speculation has seen the names of Kelly Rowland, producer LA Reid, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey supposedly being lined up for roles on the show.

Wham!: The Snappy Snaps store in Hampstead, north London, which George Michael crashed into while driving his Range Rover while under the influence of drugs in July

Katy Perry and Nicole Scherzinger are also being tipped to take their seat on the panel having both impressed head honcho Simon as guest judges on our own X Factor.

Sexy factor: Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole are among the ladies rumoured to be lined up for their place on the panel

Cowell said: 'I won’t be announcing the US X Factor line-up until January. No contracts have been signed yet. We are still in the discussion stages.'

Cowell is intent on making the U.S. X Factor even bigger than American Idol, produced by his rival Simon Fuller.

Thumbs up: X Factor head honcho Simon Cowell, seen here after the UK X Factor finals on Sunday, has appproached a bewildering array of big names to be judges on the U.S. show, if the rumours are to be believed

Nevertheless, he has pledged his future with ITV for another three years in a deal worth an estimated £100 million, and he has promised an X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent next year.

He said earlier this week of attempting both X Factors: 'I don’t do anything in half measures and they will both be great. If I have to do the transatlantic flights every week, I will — they manage it on Strictly.’

Matt Cardle debuts his new music video... but even X Factor can't edit his past as the girl he dumped for stardom makes a cameo

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Debut: Matt Cardle's music video for winner's single When We Collide was released today

X Factor 2010 winner Matt Cardle's ex-girlfriend accused him of dumping her as soon as he had his first taste of success.

But Lauren Cutmore will undoubtedly be smirking when she sees her ex's new music video for winner's single When We Collide, which made its debut today.

Proving that even X Factor bosses can't edit out the 27-year-old Essex man's past, the pretty 24-year-old makes a cameo appearance in the clip.

Can't re-write history: Cardle is seen celebrating with his ex-girlfriend Lauren Cutmore in the footage of his X Factor journey

Primarily made up of footage of Cardle's X Factor journey, his ex-girlfriend can be seen celebrating with him after he was put through to the boot camp stage of auditions.

Miss Cutmore told the Daily Mail that the former painter and decorator cut off contact with her after getting through to the judge's houses round.

Lauren's father Mick Cutmore told the Sunday Mirror in October that X Factor bosses may have influence Matt's decision to dump his daughter.

Cutthroat: His ex claims that Cardle dumped her saying he would stand a better chance if he was single

Christmas number one? The 27-year-old's Biffy Clyro cover is on track for the top spot, already selling over 100,000 copies

'They said he would stand a better chance if he wasn't with someone,' he claimed.
But while the X Factor may have been keen to promote Cardle as available throughout the series, even they cannot re-write history.

With the moment he found out he had made it through the first stage a poignant moment for Matt, it was impossible for producers to edit Miss Cutmore out of the footage.

Supportive: Miss Cutmore could be seen lining up with the X Factor hopeful at the London auditions in early episodes of the series

Her cameo is very short though, lasting only a couple of seconds.

The rest of the music video is made up of Cardle in a spotlit studio, playing a guitar.

During an interview with the Daily Mail this week, the singer played down his ex's claims, but conceded that they were based in fact.

Future looks bright for X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson as she goes house-hunting in Liverpool

By EMILY SHERIDAN

Cat's got the cream: A smiling Rebecca Ferguson visits an estate agent in her native Liverpool this afternoon

She may have been the runner-up in this year's X Factor, but the future is certainly looking bright for Rebecca Ferguson.

Amidst reports she is set to sign a record deal with Simon Cowell, the mother-of-two was spotted house-hunting in her native Liverpool today.

Looking thrilled to be back home in Merseyside, the stylish singer, 24, beamed with happiness as she popped into a local estate agent.

Wearing a hat, fluffy coat and a pair of jeggings, Ferguson was joined by her younger brother Sam, 21, as she picked up some sales leaflets of a few properties in the Allerton suburb of Liverpool.

The singer told the Liverpool Echo she was hoping to find a 'nice house' for her and her children Lillie May, six, and Karl, four.

While Ferguson and Cowell are declining to confirm reports of a deal between them, her house-hunting suggests a big payday is looming.

Looking forward to the future: Rebecca leaves an estate agent after picking up some information on a few properties

Searching for a family home: The single mother wants to find a house for her two children Lillie May, six, and Karl, four

Earlier this week, she told the Echo: 'I have a day meeting with management. I imagine there will be interest and I will find out about contracts.

'It would be amazing to record my own album. I like to write my own songs.'

Speaking this week, Cowell said: 'I love her and she will have a fantastic career. She's unique and knows her own mind.'

Her mentor Cheryl Cole is equally positive about the singer's future: 'I think the future is bright and this is the start of a life-changing moment for Rebecca. She is an amazing person with a great heart and she deserves to go far.

Close: Rebecca was joined by her younger brother Sam Ferguson, 21
'She knows what she is and knows what she wants to be and we've seen that over the weeks.'

While Cowell is yet to confirm if he's signed Ferguson, fellow judge Louis Walsh tipped the Scouser to have a 'brilliant recording career'.

Cowell is also said to have offered his boy band One Direction and fourth place singer/rapper Cher Lloyd recording contracts.

Matt Cardle reveals how the X Factor saved him from a life of drink and drugs

By GEORGINA LITTLEJOHN

Fame and fortune beckons: But Matt Cardle, seen here leaving Radio 1 this morning, said he was wasting his life on drink and drugs before winning the X Factor

He has got the world at his feet after winning this year's X Factor competition.

But Matt Cardle has revealed how things could have been very different for him if he'd not entered the ITV talent show.

The lad from Essex, who beat off stiff competition to win the coveted crown, said he was wasting his life away drinking with his friends and taking drugs.

Speaking to the Sun today, the 27-year-old told how he smoked cannabis and spent time 'bumming' around with his friends getting drunk.

He also told about one incident where he was arrested twice - one for being drunk and disorderly and once after cocaine was found in his car.

He said: 'I was a rebel, drifting about having a laugh and a drink with mates. I never went mental but I was stupid.

'In the grand scheme of things it was pathetic. I got nicked for being drunk and disorderly and spent a night in a cell, but it was a joke. We were just stupid idiots.

'I was like any young kid just out having a laugh.'
But he said things took a serious turn when he was arrested after police found cocaine in a car he was driving.

Champion: Matt is surrounded by his fellow X Factor contestants after his win which he said may not have happened

He was let off when it turned out that the drugs were found not to be his, but he still doesn't like to talk about and it briefly said: 'I wasn't charged. It wasn't mine.'

But he did admit to smoking cannabis and said he and his friends would get stoned at music festivals, with a picture of him smoking what looked like a cannabis joint published in the Sun last month.

He refused to say whether he still smokes the drug, and the photo was 'just having a good time, relaxing at a festival.'

And he said it was his family who urged him to sort himself and try and make it as a singer after he failed two college courses.

He said: 'They wanted to see something happen in my life. They said, "You can't be bumming around drinking with your mates all the time"".

'They thought if I was serious about wanting to be a singer I should put some real effort into it. The the X Factor came along. Entering it changed my life. It's saved me, in a way.'

Young lad: Matt poses for a class photo at the Stoke College in Sudbury, Suffolk in 1999

Matt is expected to earn about £5million next year after his win on Sunday's final show.

And he said he will treat his family - including paying off his parents' mortgage - and donate some of the money to the CLIC children's charity that helped him beat cancer when he was just 18 months old.

He said: 'I was young but I knew I was seriously ill and that I was in hospital. I had cancer in my kidney and I ended up having to have one removed. I had a slight complication with the operation, but when you're a kid you bounce back.

'It was caught quite early and I was all right. But it could have been worse. So I want to give some money to CLIC. They helped me out when I was sick so it seems like the right thing to do.'

Aspirations: Matt played the guitar from a young age
Matt's debut single, a cover of Biffy Clyro's Many Of Horror, which he has recorded under the title When We Collide.

But he would also like to have as much input into his music career as possible and hopes to get a lot of his own songs on his debut album.

He said: 'I've probably got four or five albums of material.

'But The X Factor was a crazy atmosphere and I didn't really have time to sit down and write any new ones. I don't know if Simon has heard any of my songs.

'I don't want to tread on any toes but I want as much control over the album's content as possible.'

Making his debut: Matt's first single is available to download now and buy in the shops tomorrow

Are people getting fed up with Cheryl Cole? Halo slipping from 'nation's sweetheart' as viewers lash out against X Factor judge

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Rockin' around the Christmas tree: A picture of Cheryl Cole with her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh was posted up on Twitter by their PR

She's had a rotten year with her divorce from Ashley Cole and bout of malaria - but it seems the British public are losing sympathy with X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.

There's a wave of criticism of the Girls Aloud star on the internet today after her charge Rebecca Ferguson lost the grand final last night to Matt Cardle, with many viewers saying she'd ignored Rebecca for weeks in favour of Katie Waissel and Cher.

Posting on popular internet television forum Digital Spy, a poster using the name 'jlay' spoke for many when she wrote: 'If Cheryl had bothered about Rebecca when Cher and Katie were still in she may well have won.'

In fact, the backlash can probably be pinpointed to Cheryl's decision to put Cher and Katie into her final three rather than Gamu Nhengu.

Other viewers have branded her 'smug', 'detached' and 'over-emotional'.

Digital Spy user Milton Blake said that Rebecca lost because Cheryl wouldn't lower herself to be on Twitter.

Walk this way: Nicola, Cheryl and Louis leave the X Factor studios for the last time this year

He sniped: 'Cheryl is aloof, seemingly unreachable. Twitter gives Danni the illusion of being reachable.'

Anactoria agreed, saying: 'I actually think the #teamminogue thing took off a bit this year, far more than #teamcheryl' while Ladyhonestswag chipped in: 'Poor Cheryl, things still ain't looking up for her are they?'

Friends: Nicola, seen here leaving Cheryl's X Factor after party, was wearing a chic mushroom-coloured frilled jumpsuit, whereas Cheryl, also on her way home here, was in a stunning mulled wine coloured fitted frock

Another poster wrote: 'She showed herself up to be a smug madame and a totally unsuitable judge.

'I quite liked her music before for what it was, and did not really mind her as a person either way, but I've gone completely off her based on her behavior and smarm with Simon Cowell during this series of XF.'

Alwaysbeenyou observed: 'Audiences always need someone to hate. The past two years, Cheryl has been adored and Dannii has faced the audience claws.

'It's turned around this year. And people seem to be hating on Cheryl for no reason at all.'

In fact, Cheryl was almost in tears last night when her last X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson failed the win the competition - but Cheryl was given a massive boost afterwards by her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.

Commiserations: Louis Walsh gives Cheryl a conciliatory peck as they leave the X Factor studios

Nicole and Kimberley, who had been in the audience for last night's nail-biting final, rushed backstage as soon as it had been announced Matt Cardle had won to console Cheryl with an aftershow party.

Armed with bottles of white wine, the trio had an impromptu Christmas party in Cheryl's backstage dressing room, accompanied by the band's PR - and gave their judge and mentor mate masses of hugs.

He took a pic of the ladies once they'd put a smile back on Cheryl's face and posted it up on his Twitter account.

Cheryl had been left gutted after she failed to win the X Factor final for the first time in three years.

Magic moment: Matt Cardle gets a hug from Rebecca Ferguson after the announcement that he's beaten her to win the X Factor, as Cheryl gives winning mentor Dannii Minogue a congratulatory cuddle

She first won with Alexandra Burke in 2008 then again with Joe McElderry in 2009, but rival mentor Dannii Minogue triumphed this year with Matt Cardle.

During the girl's night out in Cheryl's dressing room, the trio raised a glass to Kimberley, who could be the first member of Girls Aloud to have a hit in the States.
She's apparently teamed up with R&B superstar Ne-Yo after the singer took a shine to her when she interviewed him for a new for ITV2.

Although Kimberley has put her recording career on the backburner while she concentrates on her burgeoning television career, The Sun reports she's prepared to get back into the studio for the track.

Mother's love: Cheryl's mother Joan Callaghan had also been at the X Factor finals to support her daughter

3 Words - I'm going home: Cheryl heads off in a cab looking philosophical after Rebecca failed to land the X Factor 2010 title
She'll be hoping for more success than her bandmate Nadine Coyle, who's debut album Insatiable flopped.

Nadine made the controversial decision of selling her album exclusively through Tesco supermarkets, which could be one of the reasons it achieved such disappointing sales.

But a spokesperson for the supermarket chain said they are still holding out hope that sales will pick up when she releases new single Put Your Hands Up early next year.

Meanwhile, Sarah Harding has recorded a track with dance music maestro Roger Sanchez and Nicola Roberts' hotly-tipped solo material is out next year.
